After the Outlook Group’s coffee table book ‘Sikhs and Modi, A Journey of 9 Years’ was released at this occasion, Nadda spoke to the assembled Sikh community members.
Nadda said that no other politician has done as much for the Sikh community as the prime minister, praising the policies enacted by the BJP-led government in New Delhi.
After the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, no one was arrested or brought to justice for their roles in the violence. “Those who identified with one political party were given special treatment,” the BJP leader said, pointing his finger at the Congress.
But a special investigative team (SIT) was formed by the Modi administration, and they took action, he claimed. After 33 years, the criminals received life sentences. The BJP leader praised Modi ji for his “firm resolve and determination” in bringing the Sikh minority into the mainstream by ensuring justice for them.
